Baltimore, MD, March 30, 2016. SIG announced that Brian Sweeney, Chief Financial Officer of SIG, has been selected as a winner of the 2016 Executive Management Awards by Baltimore SmartCEO. Sweeney was chosen because of his exceptional work ethic, collaborative management style and innovative strategies.

The honor reflects Sweeney’s contributions to SIG, having served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer for 10 years. Sweeney’s collaboration with President, Richard Silberstein has helped guide SIG’s strategy, including how employees are developed through benefits and finance.

"Any great CEO knows that to build a truly successful business, they must build a high-performing team of executives around them," said Jamie Nespor-Zawmon, President of SmartCEO Events. "This year's Executive Management Award winners are perfect examples of all-star executives. Not only do they inspire their own teams to achieve greater heights, they also believe deeply in their companies' missions, are consummate community stewards, and are dedicated to excellence always. We are honored to share their stories as we celebrate their great accomplishments."

The Executive Management Awards program recognizes the leadership and accomplishments of Baltimore's management all-stars -- the CFOs, CIOs/CTOs, COOs, CHROs, and other C-suite executives leading the region's business community. Sweeney and his fellow Executive Management Award winners were recognized in the March/April issue of SmartCEO Magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony on March 8, 2016 in Baltimore.
